I guess a “Hello” and introductions are in order for my first blog post 🙂 I’m Sarah and I am well and truly jumping in the deep end. I’m an animal and photography lover and have decided to combine my two passions to create Mucky Pup Photography. Dexter, my 15 month old border collie has been the inspiration, and the kick up the backside, that I needed to start on this adventure.
I offer pet and animal photography services in and around South Wales and beyond. My style is pretty relaxed, fun and quirky. I don’t do studio work though; all photos are taken in the animal’s natural surroundings so as to get as relaxed and true to life shots as possible. I figured it’s not really fair to be pointing a flash in the poor pooch’s face, so all photos are taken in natural light. Now I know that may be a bit of a compromise as it’ll mean being entirely dependant on our wonderful British weather, but hey ho, that’s the decision I’ve made and that’s the decision I’m sticking with.
Anyway, enough blabbering for now. This is the adventure we’re setting out on. It may well fail miserably, but as they say…you don’t look back on life regretting the things you did, it’s the things you didn’t do, the “what ifs”, that niggle away at you. So, there you go, I’m grasping at the opportunities in front of me and, no doubt, will learn from the experience. At least with Dexter by my side, and camera in hand, I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll have a laugh 🙂
